In the early 1980s, she moved to Los Angeles with little money and no job prospects. In 1985, she was discovered by music producer David Foster at a party and soon became a huge star thanks to her bubblegum pop songs. Anderson went on to have a successful acting career that included roles in shows such as Charlie's Angels, The Fall Guy, and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
She also starred in the made-for-TV movies Basic Instinct and The Naked Truth.
