Foley is the author of two books, the critically acclaimed memoirs "Bereft" and "The Midwife's Confession", as well as the novel "The Widow's Tale". Her writing has appeared in The Huffington Post, NPR, New York Magazine, The Paris Review, The New York Times Book Review, The Los Angeles Times Book Review, The Boston Globe, Outside Magazine, and many other publications. Her articles have also appeared in Best American Essays (HarperPerennial), Best American Sports Writing (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt), and Best American Science Writing (Broadway).
She created and produced the documentary film "Scraps" (New York Times Critics Pick) about her father's life with Alzheimer's disease.
