Lindsey Buckingham is best known as the lead guitarist for Fleetwood Mac. He was born on March 20, 1948 in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in Torrance, California, he went on to earn a degree in music at UCLA. Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac with his high school friend Stevie Nicks in 1969
The duo split up with Buckingham leading the band on its next five albums before rejoining Fleetwood Mac again in 1974. After leaving Fleetwood Mac, he worked with Nicks and her husband, John Wickham, on their album Bella Donna (1978). He also produced Nicks' solo albums, including her most successful release, Bella Donna (1978).
He has also released ten solo albums.
