Les Claypool is a master of the electric bass guitar and frontman for the legendary rock band Primus. The band's debut album, Frizzle Fry, earned them a spot on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. He followed that up with two more solo records: Mr. Bungle (2001) and The Un-Official Guide to Frogs (2002), both of which were released on his own record label, Claypool Industries. In addition to being a musician, Les has contributed extensive liner notes to several Primus albums as well as collaborations with other artists such as Tom Waits, Bob Mould and Tim Robbins. From 1999 through 2002 he hosted "Les Claypool's Frog Brigade" on MTV2, a late night show featuring claymation videos, cartoons and music videos by Les and his alter ego "Frog." In 2004 he released his fourth solo album, Monolith of Phobos, featuring guest musicians from Primus as well as John Frusciante from Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jeff Chimenti from the Dave Matthews Band.

In 2007 he released his fifth solo album: Intellivision. He currently lives in Los Angeles and continues to perform and record with Primus and other projects (such as Oysterhead).
