Lady Antebellum is the first American country music group to win Album of the Year (2010) and Entertainer of the Year (2012) at the American Music Awards. The group was formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006 by Dave Haywood, Dave Haywood II, Charles Kelley, and Josh Thompson. The band's name is derived from a lyric in the song "Dixie" by Waylon Jennings. Lady Antebellum has sold over 10 million copies of their three studio albums to date.
