Training as a journalist, Kathy Hatfield began her career as a reporter for the Associated Press in Washington, D.C., and later worked as a correspondent for The Christian Science Monitor, covering the White House and Congress. She was the first woman to be named South Carolina Association of Broadcasters' "Woman of the Year." In 1994, she launched her own syndicated radio program, "The Woman's Hour," which has been broadcast throughout the United States and abroad by dozens of stations. Her books include:
