Kathie Lee Gifford is an American television personality known mostly for her work on the early morning show, The Today Show. Gifford was born in San Mateo, California, on January 22, 1954. She attended the University of Southern California where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. After graduating from college, Gifford moved to New York City and began working as a waitress and later as a bartender while attending night classes at New York University to pursue a career in broadcasting. While working at ABC-TV in New York City, she met her future husband, Frank Gifford (also known as Frank Gifford). In 1986, Gifford became the co-host of The Morning Program with co-host Michael Jackson
