Karen Hines began her career as a journalist, but found her true calling as an author. Her novels have been published in over twenty-five languages and have appeared on the New York Times bestseller list. Her first novel, The House Next Door, was 2001's 2001 Book Sense Pick for Best Fiction. Karen is also the author of four nonfiction books for teens, including the teen novel A Tale of Two Sisters
