Julie Orringer is a space journalist. She co-founded The Planetary Society, a non-profit organization that advocates for space exploration and its benefits to society. She was also an Emmy Award–winning producer and correspondent for the CBS News program, 48 Hours. She is the author of The New Space Race: America Takes Flight, which was named one of the five best books on space exploration by the editors of Astronomy magazine and has been endorsed by NASA and both political parties.
