Julia Hall was born in 1971 in England. Her first novel, A Quiet Little Secret, won her the Costa Novel Award for Best Debut Novel of the Year. Her second novel, The Other Side of You, was published in 2007 and was shortlisted for the Whitbread Book of the Year. She has also written short stories, which have been published in anthologies including Best British Short Stories (2011) and The Mammoth Book of Erotic Romance (2009)
Her third novel, Holding Still for as Long as Possible, will be published by Severn House on 1st February 2016. Julia currently lives in North Yorkshire with her husband and two children.
