Josh Alan Friedman has been a student of the game since he was old enough to pick up a racket. As a college junior at Arizona State University, Josh had his first Top-10 finish in the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Singles Championships. A year later he won the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate Athletic Association (PCI) Men's Singles Championship. Josh finished his collegiate tennis career by winning the NCAA Men's Singles Championship and earning All-American honors. He has played professionally in Germany, Austria and The Netherlands.
Josh is currently ranked #1 in the world in Mixed Double and is taking his game to new heights by playing with his wife, world #1 player, Alexandra Stevenson. Together they won the 2012 US Open Mixed Doubles title and were crowned World Team Champions in 2014.
He has volunteered with numerous charities including Special Olympics, Do It for Darfur, and Multiple Sclerosis.
He is an active volunteer with Feeding America and participates in their National Tennis Week events where he serves as captain of their 2014 team and mentors young tennis players throughout the country through their Tennis Outreach Program, Tops Outreach Program and Young Stars Outreach Program .
