John Seddon's life has been devoted to the study and writing of the psychology and sociology of education. He is a former teacher, deputy board chairman and school superintendent in New Jersey and Delaware. He was one of the founders of the field of school counseling and is widely recognized as an outstanding leader in that field. He has written several books on counseling, including Counseling: Practice and Theory, Counseling: A Theory-Based Approach, and Counseling: Theoretical Foundations and Contemporary Usefulness.
