John Clellon Holmes (June 11, 1872 – November 24, 1960) was an American author who wrote fiction and non-fiction works. His best known works are The Son of Man, The Magnificent Ambersons, and The Star-Spangled Contract. He was born in Brooklyn, New York City. Holmes was a member of the Algonquin Round Table for many years.
