Joely Fisher was born in the Bronx, New York, but her family moved to Baltimore when she was five years old. She attended high school in Greenbelt, Maryland, and then attended the University of Maryland, where she met her husband, musician Eddie Fisher. Joely is best known for her roles in Beverly Hills 90210 (she played Kelly Kapowski for five years), Ally McBeal (she played the role of Mallory Keaton for two years) and High School Musical (she played Sharpay Evans for four years). She has also starred in many television movies including The First Wives Club and the film version of Steel Magnolias
She currently stars on ABC's Desperate Housewives.
