He's also the founder of Breyer Capital (part of Accel) which focuses on direct investments in consumer internet companies. Prior to founding Breyer Capital, Breyer was a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, where he worked with some of the best VC firms in the world on their first 100 investments. A member of the Forbes 400 list, Jim is also a leading philanthropist and chairman of the board of trustees for Pioneer Institute, an independent think tank that promotes free-market solutions to social problems
He is on the board of directors for AIG Foundation, which funds charities across America, and he's also on the board of directors for UCLA's Center for Health Policy Research.
