Jean Nathan is a syndicated columnist and a writer for N.Y. Times, The Boston Globe, and newspapers throughout the U.S. She has been a book critic for the New York Times since 1995 and is also a member of the Century Club, an elite group of 100 journalists from the past century. Her writings have been included in many anthologies, as well as several works of fiction, including The American Way of Death: A Novel
In addition to her work as a columnist for the New York Times, Nathan is also an author who writes about food and cooking with Deborah Madison's Good Food Revival (St Martin's Press) and co-wrote two cookbooks--Jean Nathan's Jewish Cooking (Holt Paperbacks), with Judith Rossner, and The Frugal Gourmet Cooks Jewish Home Cooking (Morrow). Jean lives in Cambridge with her husband.
