Dr. Haddad was born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1928. He received his medical education in Lebanon where he became a professor of internal medicine at the American University of Beirut. He also served as a visiting professor at Harvard University and the University of California, San Francisco
Dr. Haddad has lived in the United States since 1968. He is Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco's Department of Medicine and is the founder and director of the Center for Clinical Research on Mind Body Interactions, which is affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco Department of Medicine.
