Horacio Quiroga is a Venezuelan author. He was born in Caracas, Venezuela on December 12, 1857, and died in Paris on November 26, 1924. He studied medicine and philosophy at the University of Caracas and followed a path that led him to medicine and philosophy. He was a pioneer in the field of psychology and psychiatry; he wrote several books on these subjects and became a friend of Sigmund Freud
