Hjalmar Branting (9 October 1859 – 10 May 1940) was a Swedish statesman and Prime Minister. He belonged to the Swedish Social Democratic Party and the Swedish People's Party. He represented the constituency of Stockholm, but resided in Jönköping. He was Prime Minister from 26 July 1920 to 22 July 1922, and again from 9 October 1922 to 5 November 1924.
