Hawk Nelson is an award-winning Canadian Christian rock band who have released seven studio albums, three live albums, three compilation albums, one EP, four videos, and two DVDs. The band has also released two greatest hits compilations and two live albums. They formed a band with drummer Matt Wiebe in 2001. Hawk Nelson's first album, "Knowing Who You Are", was released on February 5, 2003. It peaked at No. 6 on the Canadian Albums Chart and No. 3 on the Canadian Rock Albums Chart. The album produced three singles: "All That's Left", "What If It All Goes Right" and "I'm Not Okay".

The song "Jesus Said" was also released as a single but did not chart. In 2004 Hawk Nelson won their first Covenant Award for the album "Our First 100 Days" at the 17th Annual GMA Canada Covenant Awards ceremony held June 10 in Toronto, Ontario. They were also awarded for their first GMA Dove Award at the 7th GMA Dove Awards ceremony held May 18 in Nashville, Tennessee. The band's second album "This Love" was released on October 20, 2004 and peaked at No. 2 on both the Canadian Albums Chart and Canadian Rock Albums Chart. It was certified platinum by Music Canada in 2006 thanks to sales of 50,000 copies that year alone.
