6 Quotes & Sayings By Hart Crane

Hart Crane was an American poet, playwright, and author of poetry, fiction, essays, and criticism. His critical reputation rests primarily on the power of his poetry; his best known poems include "The Blue Hotel" (1916) and "Strange Meeting" (1922), both of which are often considered to be among the best American poems of the twentieth century. Although Crane is usually regarded as an important Modernist poet, his experimental work has been seen by some critics as foreshadowing the "beat" movement in modern poetry. He was also an accomplished playwright.
