Gates McFadden is a retired NASA astronaut and renowned scientist, who has been a leader in the research of space technology for more than 30 years. She has published 20+ books on a wide variety of topics, including her latest book “Addicted to Science: An Autobiography of a Life of Discovery.” Her most recent book, "Innovative Women: Science, Technology, & Engineering Stories from the STEM Fields" was selected as a finalist for the 2018 National Women's History Project Book Award. In addition to being an advocate for women in science and technology, Gates is also a public speaker and runs a popular blog detailing her adventures.
