Frei Otto is considered one of the world's leading architects, with over 1,000 projects to his credit. He received the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 1987 for his understanding of the fundamental role of space in architecture, and for his contribution to the use of reinforced concrete. Frei Otto has built some of the most famous structures in Europe, including the Olympic Stadium in Munich, which hosted the 1972 Summer Olympics.
