Frank Press was born in Toronto, Canada, on June 18, 1960. He is the author of four novels and two non-fiction books. His first novel, "The Tin Flute", won the Canadian Governor General's Award for Fiction in 1996. His second novel, "A Wild Justice", was nominated for the Arthur Ellis Award for best Canadian crime novel
His third book "Mono No Aware" was shortlisted for the Governor General's Award in 2010 and his fourth novel "The Luck of Our Lady" was nominated for the Arthur Ellis Award in 2013.
