E.Y. Harburg (Buddy) was an American lyricist, composer, playwright, and singer. He is best known for his work with Harold Arlen and the songs "Over the Rainbow," "The Wizard of Oz" and "The Trolley Song." He wrote the lyrics for many other well-known songs, including "There's No Business Like Show Business," "Do You Love Me?", and "Are You lonesome Tonight" which has been recorded by dozens of artists over the years. Harburg died in 1979.
