Eric Mann is a poet and author with over thirty years of experience as a writer, editor, teacher and activist. His work has appeared in more than 200 literary journals and anthologies, including New Issues – The Delaware Review, Ninth Letter – Ohio University Press, and The New American Writing – Broadside Press. He has been a two-time Pushcart Prize nominee and a finalist for the Illinois Arts Council's Anti-Racism Award. Mann has been awarded fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, Rockefeller Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, and John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation
He is also a two-time recipient of the Mary Ellen Metzger Poetry Fellowship from the University of Wisconsin's Madison Poetry Center. Eric Mann's first book of poems, Neon Lights on the Curve: A Collection of Poems was published in 2000 by Project Muse Press. His second collection of poetry, This Is Not a Place was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
