Eric Lowitt was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts. He began his career as an actor with the Actors Studio and then went on to work as a director and producer with such companies as The Actor's Workshop, The Joseph Papp Public Theater, and the Joseph Papp Public Theater. His plays include: "A Christmas Carol", "The Merchant of Venice", "The Seagull", and "The Diary of Anne Frank". He is also the author of: "The Gift: How the Gift Giver and Gift Receiver Can Work Together to Make it Work For Them", "Creating a Life: A Guide for Parents and Educators", "How to Read a Play: A Guide for Students and Teachers", and most recently, "How to Act".
