Eric Bristow was a British professional snooker player. He is a six-time world champion and was ranked world No. 1 for a total of 18 years. He has also been World Snooker Champion in 1990
In March 2006, he was one of the players investigated by the BBC's investigative documentary Secret Sport, which revealed that snooker was fixed against the odds during the 1997 World Championship. In August 2006, he was suspended from all competitive play until May 2007 for match-fixing offences.
