Edward Sharpe was born in New York City in 1970. In 1993, he released his first book of poetry, The Young Adult Lifestyle Survival Guide, which was followed by a series of collections, including The Young Adult's Portfolio (1995), The Young Adult's Guide to the Creative Process (2001) and The Young Adult's Guide to Personal Growth (2004). In 2006, Edward released a graphic adaptation of his first book of poetry entitled The Young Adult Lifestyle Survival Guide: A Graphic Novel, which was followed by a series of acclaimed collections of fiction and nonfiction. He has also collaborated with author Scott Shannon on two graphic novels: Science Fiction: Reimagined and Science Fiction: Retold 1-2-3
These books were illustrated by Mark Dudley. In 2011 Edward collaborated with HarperCollins author James Patterson on the novel Hiding from the Paparazzi. He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
