Edgar "Pap" Winter is a musician and songwriter. He is best known as the drummer and co-songwriter of the rock band Steppenwolf, and as the longtime drummer and songwriter of The Edgar Winter Group. Winter was one of the first three inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. He also appeared on two other occasions: as a member of the 1990 induction ceremony (in which he performed with his sister, singer Grayce Winters) and as a member of the 2007 class (in which he performed with his son, Edgar Winter Jr.).
