Edgar Adrian, born in Chesterfield, England in 1872, was a British entomologist and author. He was a prolific writer on subjects as varied as entomology, ornithology and bird watching. Adrian was an honorary fellow of the British Ornithologists' Union and a fellow of the Royal Entomological Society. He was president of the Entomological Society of London for two terms
