Ed Miliband is a British politician and the current Leader of the Labour Party, having been elected by online and postal votes in the leadership election of 2010. Miliband was born on 12 April 1967 in London. He grew up in Primrose Hill. He attended Highgate Primary School, a state comprehensive school in north London, followed by Westminster School, an independent school in central London
At the age of 16 he won a place at New College, Oxford University, where he studied philosophy, politics and economics. Miliband said his years at Oxford "changed my life forever." He graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) in 1989.
