E.C. Sheedy is a best-selling author of over sixty novels and over a hundred short stories. Sheedy's work has been published in at least twelve languages. Her first novel, "Death on Demand," won the prestigious CWA Gold Dagger Award for Best First Novel
Her first short story, "The Last Lover," won a second CWA Gold Dagger Award for Best Short Story. Her stories have appeared in magazines worldwide, including "The New Yorker", "Screw", "Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine", "Blue Blood", "Cosmopolitan", and abroad in Japan, France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. In addition to her creative work as a writer, she has been a lecturer at New York University's creative writing program and creative writing professor at Hunter College.
