E L Parfitt is an Australian author of science fiction, fantasy, and adventure novels. Her novels are published in 16 languages worldwide, with over two million copies sold to date. She has written ten science fiction novels including the series The Saga of Seven Suns, which began with The Crystal Cave. Her best-known fantasy novel is The Dark Titan Trilogy, in three volumes: The Dark Titan, The Prince in the Tower, and The King's Justice
Parfitt was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1949. She married fellow writer Ian Irvine in 1981 and they have two children.
