Donald Evans is the author of two young adult novels, The Man Who Wondered, and By His Own Hands. He was born in Richmond, Virginia to a father who worked as a pastor and mother who worked as an elementary school teacher. Donald attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where he got his first taste of writing. It wasn't until he moved to Denver for graduate school at Regis University that he discovered his true passion—writing
While living in Denver, Donald wrote The Man Who Wondered, which received rave reviews from critics and was named one of the top ten books for young adults by the American Library Association. He is currently working on his next novel, which is set in Colonial Virginia.
