Don Elium is a professional speaker and author of over 45 inspirational books. In his many life experiences, he has been able to see and experience life from a variety of different perspectives. He has interviewed and worked with many leading figures in the worlds of entertainment, sports, and business. Don began his career as a personal assistant to the late Irving Wallace, then followed him to work for Seagram's Distillers Corp
and then for McGraw-Hill. He then became the Director of Public Relations at National Distillers Corporation. From there he became Vice President of The Personal Touch Inc., which was the parent company of the Pillsbury Company.
He was later President and CEO of The Personal Touch Inc., which became known as The Pillsbury Company (now operated by General Mills). During his tenure at Pillsbury, Don was honored with numerous awards including the Thomas Dewey Award for Public Service and the Distinguished Career Achievement Award from the National Restaurant Association. His marriage to his wife, Debbie Elium, in 1987 produced two children: Don Jr.
and Lisa.
