Dominic Cooper was born in Enfield, England, in 1980. His boyhood was spent in the small town of East Molesey, Surrey. He studied Drama at Bristol University and graduated in 2003. After university, he worked in theatre, most notably with the RSC under Iain Russell
Dominic's big screen debut was in the film Pride & Prejudice (2005), for which he won a BAFTA award for best new talent. Since then he has starred in Guy Ritchie's Snatch, The History Boys (for which he received a BAFTA nomination for best supporting actor) and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
