Denis Healey, Baron Healey, KG, OM, CH, FRS (12 April 1916 – 31 March 2013) was a British Labour Party politician and statesman. He was Deputy Prime Minister during the early 1970s. He was the last holder of the office before the creation of the post of First Lord of the Treasury in 1974. Later he held various ministerial positions under Labour governments in the 1970s and 1980s.
