Denis Fitzpatrick was born in London, England. He has been a professional writer since 1980 and has been a journalist for more than twenty years, having been a columnist for The Sunday Telegraph, The Sunday Times Magazine and The Guardian. In 2010 he published his first thriller, The Kill Zone, which led to the publication of his second novel, The President's Daughter in 2012. He is also the author of the international bestseller How to Become a Writer: 100 Tips for Young Writers (2011) and was co-author with Sir Tim Laurence of a series of well-received books about the Beatles
