Debajyoti Ghosh is a well-known social entrepreneur, author, and leadership consultant. His insightful research and passion for community development have led him to lead initiatives to build better cities, build better nations, and build stronger economies. He is the former CEO of the Habitat Foundation (Mumbai, India), where he launched the first Indian Habitat Week in 1999. He has co-authored several books on housing and urban renewal.Ghosh is currently a consultant for several international organizations, including UN Habitat, UN-HABITAT International Unit for Gender Equality, UN Women. He has also written several other books on urban issues including Water, Power, and Piety: The Hidden Linkages between Urbanization and Violence. His latest book is titled Community Building: The Urban Regeneration Toolkit.
