Dave McKean is a British graphic novelist, comic book artist. He has illustrated books by Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore, and Peter Straub as well as his own works such as "Nemesis" and the Batman story "Batman: The Killing Joke". His surreal graphic novel "The Black Corridor" was a nominee for the 2007 Eisner Award. McKean has been with DC Comics since 1996, where he created the Batman: Black and White comic series
He has collaborated with Alan Moore on the graphic novel GN, and is also known for his artwork of the Spider-Man character Venom.
