Dane Cook was born in Kent, Ohio, and raised in a small town outside of Cincinnati. His family moved to Bloomington, Indiana when he was a child. After graduating from the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in film, Cook moved to Chicago to pursue an acting career. In 1994, Dane became a regular cast member on MADtv. In 1998, Dane released his first stand-up comedy CD "Comedy Central Presents". His next CD "Retaliation" was released in 2000.
In 2001 Dane released his first movie "Dirty Work", which went on to gross over $100 million worldwide. Since then Dane has worked steadily as a stand-up comedian and has done movies such as "Reno 911", "Little Black Book", "The Cider House Rules", "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry" and "Old School".
