Claudio Hummes is the author of the best-selling book Acho que sou eu (I think I am me) which was published in Brazil in 2009, translated into English in 2011 by Open Letter Books under the title "I am I". The book has received numerous awards, including the Brazilian Book Critics Award 2010, the Latin American Book Award 2011, and the Popular Library Award 2012. His second book published in Brazil, O falso não te esquece (The False Cannot Forget), was released in June 2013. His third book, Escola do desconhecido (School of the Unknown), was released in October 2014
