claris yetunde ramsin (born coty, 22 december 1968) is a nigeria-based writer.
She studied at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and now lives in Lagos, Nigeria. Her work has appeared in The Times, The Guardian, The Times Literary Supplement, The Washington Post, Slate, Essence, Vogue and many other publications. In 2008 she received the Royal Society of Literature's Travelers' Award for African Writing. In 2009 she won the International Women of Courage Award from the State Department.
In 2010 She was awarded an Honourable Mention for her story "In Love with a Stranger" by the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) Short Form Contest
