Clarence Clemons (1943–2014) was an American rock saxophonist, musician and singer. He is best known as the former saxophonist, trombonist, and occasional keyboardist for the rock band the E Street Band. Clemons also played with Bruce Springsteen and Frank Sinatra and was one of the founding members of the Big Band era jazz and R&B group, The Count Basie Orchestra. He was an accomplished jazz and blues singer in his own right having recorded under his full name, Clarence Clemons, and under various pseudonyms such as "Clarence 'Frogman' Henry".
