Chikamso C. Efobi (Pidgin: Chikamso C. Efobi) (Igbo: 21 September, 1946 - 23 February, 2008) was a Nigerian author and playwright. Efobi's works include the political satire Ika Agba (English: "The Good Wife"), and the historical fiction epic Igbo Ukwu (English: "Ibo Ukwu: The Ibo and the Slave Trade"). Born in Enugu, he attended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he studied for a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and later went on to the University of Ife to study for a Master's degree in Dramatic Arts. His works were intended to be satirical in nature and sometimes even critical of the Nigerian government and its officials. Efobi's plays have been performed by numerous actors and groups throughout Nigeria
They include: Onyinyezi, an Igbo theatre group based in Enugu State; Ugwuoma, a modern group that performs at the National Theatre, Abuja; Kogi National Theatre, Lokoja; Akwa Ibom National Theater, Uyo; Akwa Ibom State University Theatre Group, Uyo; Ogbe Theatre Group, Lagos; Ikoyi Theatre Group, Ikoyi; Ijebu Igbo Trustees Council at Ijebu-Ode Grammar School Lagos; Northwest Peoples Theatre Group Ugboko/Makurdi/Lagos/Kano/Yola.
