C.C. MacKenzie was a writer and editor for over fifty years. Her work has been broadcast on radio and television, including several appearances on the Jack Benny Program. She has written twelve novels, including The House of the Seven Gables, which was made into a film starring Olivia de Havilland
She also wrote two collections of short stories that were combined to form The Book of the Beloved Disciple. Her memoirs include The Ladies of Missalonghi and An Old Woman Remembers.
