Carol Burnett is a comedian, actress, writer, and producer. She is best known for her long-running television variety show The Carol Burnett Show, which spanned from 1967-1978. She is also well known for her stint as a cast member on the 1970s sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live from 1975-1979. She won a Tony Award in 1975 for the Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her hilarious portrayal of Blanche Devereaux in the Broadway version of A Streetcar Named Desire.
