Bozena Zawisz was born in Poland. She completed her studies at the University of Warsaw and later obtained a PhD in psychology at the University of Warsaw. She worked as a clinical psychologist for over 20 years. Since 2000, Zawisz has been working as a freelance author and editor
Her stories have won numerous awards in Polish book fairs, including the "Poeść" prize, the "Gazeta Wyborcza" prize, and the "Kwartalnik Kulturalny".
