Beau Willimon is the creator and executive producer of HBO's critically acclaimed series, "The Newsroom" and "House of Cards". He is the author of the 2006 Tony Award-winning play, Farragut North, about a young man who becomes an unlikely leader of the Democratic Party. Beau has worked on over thirty films, including "Rent," "Gone Baby Gone," "The Talented Mr. Ripley," and "American Splendor." His play Farragut North received its world premiere at New York's Public Theater in 2006. Beau Willimon was nominated for a 2009 Emmy Award for his writing on The Newsroom.
He was honored with a 2009 Peabody Award for his work on House of Cards.
